Please welcome our lovely Guest Designer for Sketch # 42 .... the talented Jody Dent-Pruks !!! She is an Aussie gal and a member of Write. Click. Scrapbook., the inspiration collective. Here is a peek into Jody's life and her creative process as well as and her lovely take on the sketch !!
My name is Jody Dent-Pruks and I live in
My addictions include, but are not limited to: blog hopping, magazines, ferrero roche chocolates, bad reality TV and movies from the 80’s (think Dirty Dancing and you will be on the right track).
I squeeze my scrapping in by staying up very late at night, usually on the weekends. When I scrapbook I must have my computer always on hand. You will never see my hand writing on any of my layouts! I also need a clean and tidy table to start…it doesn’t stay this way, but it has to start off clean.
I would say my style is clean and simple – I love straight lines and lots of white space to keep me calm! My favourite scrapbooking colours are white, kraft and greens, although I am trying to cast my colour net a little wider these days and I went wild and crazy with the blues for the layout I did for this sketch.
My camera is a Canon 450D and my favourite lens is my 50mm. I also love my Canon IXUS990IS point and shoot, which travels in my handbag all the time and was the only reason I was able to start and finish Project 365 in 2009!

I loved the sketch because it appealed to my “straight edges” heart! After printing out my photos and seeing where I had space I decided to flip the sketch. I used patterned paper to give the layout some pop and added dimension with the circle accents that I attached with foam dots.
