photo Cassie_zpsa6096e9d.jpgToday I have the pleasure of introducing our next design team member...

Cassie Wiscarson

Located | USA

Preferred scrapbooking medium |  I make 12x12 layouts. I work with paper & glue and digital mediums most of the time and I also dabble in hybrid scrapbooking as well.

What inspired you to begin your creative journey?
I always loved playing with paper and glue. In high school I took several photography classes and then went on to get my associates in Professional Photography. When my husband joined the Army, I started scrapbooking as a way to save all of his letters from basic training. It quickly evolved from there.

If you were to describe your scrapbooking style in five words, what would they be?
Colorful, Fun, Evolving, Detailed, Classy.

What type of camera do you use?
I use a Canon Rebel xTi and a Canon Powershot SD1400IS mostly. I also take pictures with my Droid 3 phone.

Where do you do most of your scrapbooking?
I create in my scrap room. It is a room near our family room that I share with my daughter’s toy room. I like being close with my family.

What time of day are you most creative, and what inspires you to create?
I am mostly creative during the day while my daughter is at school. I find inspiration everywhere from pictures, sketches, pretty paper or embellishments.

Why do you love sketches?
I love sketches because they give me a great starting point when I sit down to create. I frequently flip, rotate and change up sketches to suit my pictures on each layout.

Cassie has created this gorgeous layout based on Inspired Blueprints sketch how she's swapped out the bracket background for doily shape.
