Preferred scrapbooking medium | I prefer 12x12 but my albums have a few 8.5x11 scattered inside, too. I also love making cards! I am a traditional scrapbooker- all paper and glue for me!
What inspired you to begin your creative journey?
I have always loved arts and crafts but when I graduated college, I decided to make my own announcements with a stamp and some embossing powder. I was hooked! I made mini books for my family that Christmas and then got started on my own album. That was 12 years ago and I still love it!
If you were to describe your scrapbooking style in five words, what would they be?
Bright & cheerful, easy layers, and lots of patterns!
What type of camera do you use?
I use a point and shoot Canon PowerShot SX130 IS
Where do you do most of your scrapbooking?
I have a scrap space in my basement family room. I love being able to hang out with my family while I scrap. I also crop twice a month at my local scrapbook store. Being around other crafty people is always inspiring!
What time of day are you most creative, and what inspires you to create?
I'm usually the most creative just after lunch so I try to spend a little time in my scrap space every afternoon. I think I'm most inspired by new goodies! When ever I buy a new bunch of embellishments or pattern paper, I can think of all sorts of ideas!
Why do you love sketches?
Sketches inspire me so much! They do all the hard design work and let me get straight to the fun part- papers and embellishments. They build up my confidence because I already know the page will turn out great in the end.
Tessa has created this gorgeously festive layout based on Inspired Blueprints sketch 74.
