A friend invited me to a Creative Memories party back in 1999, just a few months after my first child was born. I was instantly hooked and have been scrapbooking and card-making ever since!
If you were to describe your scrapbooking style in five words, what would they be?Clean. Linear. Simple. Detailed. Fresh.
What type of camera do you use?
I used to be a compact point & shoot girl. On my last birthday I graduated to a big-girl camera---a Nikon DSLR. I love it! Now I need to take some photography classes to get me off auto mode. So technically, I guess I’m still a point & shoot girl...just with a bigger camera!
Where do you do most of your scrapbooking?
In my dedicated scrap room that my hubby added on to our house. That’s where my daily scrapping happens. I also get away twice a year to the beach with my local scrapbooking friends and once a year to central Washington with a group of women I met on a scrapbooking message board.
What time of day are you most creative, and what inspires you to create?
I am probably most productive late morning and early afternoon. I think that’s just because it’s what works with my family life. I am inspired by all kinds of things---color, design, nature, music, online galleries and magazines to name a few.
Why do you love sketches?
Hah! I think I would have a hard time creating without them and all my lo’s would probably look the same! I love that they give me someplace to start...a direction to go in. They help me with photo and product selection and give me ideas for embellishments and layering that I might not have come up with on my own. Of course I am drawn to clean lines, but can see beyond what is there to create what works for me. I’m not afraid to alter a sketch! In fact, I think that’s one of the best things about them!
Stephanie has been a dedicated fan of Inspired Blueprints for some time, regularly sharing her work in the IB gallery. We're so thrilled that she's joining the team! Check out this gorgeous layout Stephanie created based on Inspired Blueprints sketch 83! I can't wait to share more of her work with you.
